Welcome to the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band Audition!
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band, you must be a high school senior in the 2010/2011 school year. You must be a member of your high school marching band from the time of application through the final performance on January 8th, 2011, and in good standing with your school and community. Students must also commit to their availability in San Antonio, TX, from Monday January 3rd through Sunday January 9th, 2011.
Multiple Application
You may apply for more than one position. To do so, you must complete the audition process for each individual position. If you are considered for more than one position, the MENC review committee will determine the best position for you based on ability and ensemble needs.
Online Audition
Only online entry materials will be considered for this audition process. Audition includes applicant contact information, terms and conditions agreement, school release consent form, and three required audition videos. Only applications with all materials will be considered complete.
Results Notification
Audition results will be announced by MENC in June 2010.
Before Starting Your Application:
- Read the Audition Terms and Agreements.
- Download the appropriate music for the Marching Audition Video. Auditions will not be accepted for any instruments not represented in the audition music below.

**You must audition on the actual instrument you would play in the band. Flute and French horn auditions will not be accepted.

- Have your contact information including valid e-mail address and a list of any accomplishments. Accomplishments can include national, state, regional, community, and school accomplishments as well as honor ensemble participation, awards, leadership positions, etc. (Hint: prepare your information in a Word document and cut and paste after proofing and spell-checking.)
- Take your time. Prepare your music, and record it when you’re ready. Please note the online application and video upload deadline is April 15th.

A completed Principal Recommendation Form or a videotaped statement (less than 2 minutes) from an applicant's current or former principal recommending their selection into the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band may be submitted with the other audition materials.
