MENC’s Petition for Equal Access to Music Education, 2009

Item Text

“We [as music educators] need to be treated as equal partners in and as an important as the three Rs in education. We enhance and embellish all of the Rs. We are even more important than sports, as no one in a performing musical ensemble sits the bench, and we create better community members than any other thing that is taught in our public, parochial, charter, or any other form of education!”

- Jeffery E., Michigan
