National Association for Music Education is America’s voice for all aspects of music education. Fostering and developing relationships with government officials and agencies through advocacy and outreach efforts is an important component of that voice. In order to continue to enhance music education’s stature in local and national legislative policy conversations, NAfME and its members must work to increase and diversify advocacy methodology both by nurturing bonds with potential allies and by continuing to spread the power of music to our nation’s youth through the most effective tool that we have: teaching.
