Student Works to Be Performed

FALLS CHURCH, JULY 28--Local students will have their works presented in a matinee concert by the Falls Church Chamber Orchestra, a professional group of twenty musicians, at 2:00 PM on August 15, in the atrium of the civic center.

The concert will feature the results of what Falls Church High School principal Edna Phillips calls "a unique cooperative venture in music education": six compositions, written and arranged by students in local elementary school music programs.

The chamber orchestra, conducted by James Mursell, will also perform works by Albinioni, Bloch, and Barber. Admission is free.
