There are a couple of options availble to you and Wireless Midi Transmission Systems have been coming into "vogue" over the last couple of years.
My first thought would be to investigate the Kenton MidiStream device. I works in the 900mHz range and has an outdoor ideal range of 260 feet (most likely you will find 175 feet to be the max. for reliability).
You can check patchmanmusic.com for more information on it. Seems very "do" able for you.
