Every year we do a follies show that gets bigger & bigger; we're at a point where we need to buy some lighting and sound equipment. We rent an auditorium for the show, but have to provide our own equipment. We need some wireless mics, a sound board and light board, 3 spotlights and fixed hanging mics over the stage. Any suggestions on where to start looking for these things, and are there any brands or pitfalls to avoid? Used or new equipment? I know virtually nothing about these things, but am looking forward to learning...where can I get educated (fast!).
