Next week, MENC will unveil a new Web site that includes upgraded forums for band, chorus, orchestra, general music, higher education, and future teachers. We listened to your suggestions for improvements on the forums, and you'll soon be able to more easily network with and learn from your music education colleagues. You'll be able to create and manage an online identity, including avatars and contact information. Links to all of the categories will be in one place, so jumping across fields will be simple. Topics can be easily located; the forum search function will allow you to find all the posts by a favorite poster or by subject matter. And you'll still be able to access the old forums to find valuable content posted in the past. The site launches during MENC's National Conference in Milwaukee next week.
