As I was thinking about your set-up and age group, I stumbled across an email from Jim Frankel--Joe recommended his blog in his earlier post. Jim just wrote about a website of lesson plans that he and two other music tech gurus created that incorporates music tech, multimedia, and music with Science, Math, and Language Arts for middle school. Obviously, you are trying to create your own original lesson plans, but maybe you will get some good ideas from this website:

As Joe stated, Jim's blog is a must for music tech and music education. Plus, he is a middle school music teacher, so when he writes lesson plans involving music tech and middle school music classes, you can count on them being great lessons!
