Music IS math, out loud. How about looking at Pythagorus and ratios, length of tubes, strings. One could make pan-pipes using the information. Also, creating 12-tone music uses algebra. Another idea would be to examine rhythm, notated rhythms... all about fractions/whole.
Simply singing a song about math concepts does not truly connect the two subjects, and relegates music to a subserviant role.
