Hello, my name is Erin and I currently teach 7th-12 grade strings in New Jersey. I'm looking to move to Pennsylvania (Philadelphia suburbs-Montgomerey County, Delaware County, Chester County, etc.) for the 2008/2009 school year. Does anyone know how hard it is to get a job in that area? I would be willing to teach general music or band although I prefer and specialize in strings. Would someone with a Master and Bachelor of Music Ed., high gpas, Violin Performance Certificate, much experience teaching private lessons, and one year of public school teaching experience be viewed as a good candidate? Thanks!
