I have been using Serversea (www.serversea.com) as my host for my wedding music business website. The plan I have is $1.79 a month for 100 MB (there are several plans, that is the cheapest - which is about as cheap as you can find anywhere), and this includes domain name registration if you need it. There are no ads whatsoever on the website. Any of the free hosting sites are going to have banner ads or popups, I think it's totally worth it to spend under 25 bucks a year to avoid that. Some of the plans include a website builder, but you can also build your own using your own software (I have used Publisher and Frontpage) and upload it or FTP it to the server. I don't think I've ever had a problem with the server or my website being down, and it loads just as fast as any other page (of course, depends on your internet service - dialup will be snail-slow no matter how great the web host is), and I have several dozen mp3 sound files on the site. My website is http://www.nowmosmusic.com if you want to take a look.

: Folks,

: Would you recommend your favorite web hosting provider that doesn't load your webpage with annoying adds? Our current provider (not out district) offers only 10 Mb; it's very slow and has server problems.
: Thanks.
