I don't know if it would be too difficult - it's been a long time since I've played it, we did it in region band in H.S., but I remember the actual technicality of it not being pretty easy - but how about Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion by P.D.Q. Bach (Peter Schickele)? It pokes fun at "snooty" classical music - there are passages that are played on mouthpieces, little snippets of various classical and nursery rhyme tunes all linked together, a place where the percussionist is supposed to "accidentally" drop their instrument, and I remember some gargling in there too! I think it is in several movements but you could just play one.
: I thought it would be fun to program a humorous piece for my middle school band. Anybody know of some good ones? (For example, I've heard pieces where you take off your mouthpieces and just squeak or buzz on them.)
