I think you just need to figure out what's normal for your program. I've heard of 50-60% dropout being common in some schools. About 10% left by senior year in high school. But if that's 50 seniors and the band has 2-300 kids, no one's complaining.
There are so many individual factors, that it's tough to compare what's good or bad. If the schedule's messed up and your school produced technical kids who all want precollege classes, most might decide to skip band their senior year. No fault on your part.
And I know of a few schools with 95+% retention all throughout. Everyone is in band and everyone stays in band. That's normal for them.
