I teach 6-12th grade at a small (120 per grade level) K-12 school.

10th grade: 15, started in 6th with 14 (107%)
9th grade: 11, started in 6th with 12 (91%)
8th grade: 12, started in 6th with 13 (92%)
7th grade: 16, started in 6th with 14 (114%)

That just covered the band since I've been here, the numbers before I got here were not quite the same:
11th grade: 16, started in 6th with 25 (64%)
12th grade: 3, started in 6th with 28 (11%)
(I like to think that those 11th graders stayed because of me, but then I have to wonder what happened with the seniors)

I don't have as detailed numbers going farther back, but it looks like somewhere around 50-55% retention by the time the kids for to HS.

P.S. Hey, did I mention that my job is awesome, and that you can have it next year? Come apply:http://www.pky.ufl.edu/employment.php
(don't worry about that posted deadline, they won't start looking at the apps, for at least another three weeks.

P.P.S. Here is a survey I use with my kids every year. It has been very helpful to me. The formatting will be all wonky here, if you want a Word file of it send me an email.
