MENC Launches New Web Site for Legislative Alerts
Along with the launch of its updated Web site, MENC has begun posting to its brand new advocacy and public policy news feed called The Recorder. The news feed will replace the existing format of e-mailed Legislative Alerts.
News and information will be regularly updated on The Recorder to help ensure that we convey the latest music education and advocacy news to our members.
Stay informed over summer break.
My Music Class is Up and Running
Music educators looking for new lesson directions for next school year need look no further than My Music Class. That's MENC’s new online idea center and lesson plan library. It is filled with standards-aligned teaching ideas and resources. Categories include band, chorus, chorus, orchestra, teacher education and technology. Members also may search by grade level.
The resource, only available to MENC members, includes a rating system for lesson plans.
MENC members can search My Music Class using keywords and other criteria. Members are encouraged to upload their own lesson plans and ideas at the site.
