Serving Jazz Educators is the Aim of New MENC Initiative

MENC will step forward to meet the challenge to the music education community caused by the dissolution of the International Association for Jazz Education. To support education in jazz, the quintessentially American art form, MENC will work with leaders in jazz education to provide enhanced services and benefits to jazz educators, including: 

• A major area on the MENC web site for jazz education
• Increased performance, discussion, and pedagogical opportunities at MENC national events
• Increased coverage of topics on jazz and jazz education in print or electronic format.
