Pat Benatar Goes on Record in Support of Music Education

On June 29, Grammy Award-winning singer Pat Benatar played to a sold-out crowd at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, VA. Before the show, Benatar recorded several public service announcements for MENC's radio PSA campaign, Why Music?

During the recording session, Benatar recalled her experiences in elementary and secondary school music programs, calling her high school choral director crucial to her success as a professional singer. Her PSAs will be available on the MENC website in August.
