MENC to Become National Association for Music Education

At Music Education Week in June, MENC announced to its National Assembly plans to officially complete its transition to the name "National Association for Music Education" (NAfME) as of September 1, 2011. The formal announcement will be made in the September issue of Music Educators Journal, but a year-long transition plan is already underway. Watch for news on our new logo and other details in the coming weeks.
