National Council of Supervisors of Music Education

The mission of the National Council of Supervisors of Music Education (NCSME) is to improve the availability and quality of school music education for all children. We strive to do this by supporting state and local music education programs and leaders and by collaborating with national, state, and local organizations for the improvement of music education. We act as a conduit for gathering and disseminating information that is pertinent to the council and its membership, and serve as a support network for sharing information and strategies among school music administrators. In addition, we seek to guide and support the efforts of the National Executive Board of MENC: The National Association for Music Education.
