New Advocacy Webinar Wraps Up Music Education Week Efforts

On Thursday August 5 MENC offers a webinar that will sum up advocacy achievements during Music Education Week and look to future opportunities. MENC's National Leadership Assembly and state leaders received advocacy training before and during that event.

The leaders met with their U.S. senators and members of Congress on June 29. The August 5 webinar will cover those Hill meetings and give participants advocacy tips for meeting with state and local "decision-makers" on the importance of supporting music education.

Music education advocates everywhere can use the same techniques to raise awareness of the importance of school-based music and the other arts programs with leaders at the state and local level.

Space is limited for the webinar, which takes place from 7 to 8 PM Eastern Daylight Time. Register here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about joining the webinar.

System Requirements:

  • PC-based attendees: Windows® 7, Vista, XP, 2003 Server or 2000
  • Macintosh®-based attendees: Mac OS® X 10.4.11 (Tiger®) or newer
