Lander, Wyoming, is a lovely community located at the base of the majestic Wind River Range.  The Arts are supported heavily in the community.  The community is in the heart of country favored by the outdoor enthusiast.

The District pays a very competitive salary and benefit package.  The District pays both the employees' and the District's share of the Wyoming Retirement System premiums, and there is no income tax in Wyoming; thus, one's take-home pay is substantially higher than in other states.

Stevenson High School, 4-time recipient of the U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon Award, recently received recognition from the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts as a National School of Distinction for Arts Education. The music department was named one of the nationís “12 Model Music Programs” by the National Association for Music Education (MENC). The band program has over 300 students active in 5 full-credit band classes. Members of all bands perform in the [non-competing] marching band as part of course requirements.
