Centennial Campaign
A Celebration of the Past…A Vision for the Future
MENC: The National Association for Music Education celebrated our 100th anniversary in 2007, a milestone at which we paused to take pride in the past achievements of our members while looking forward into the future of music education.
Over the last one hundred years, MENC members have brought music to countless students, and MENC has been there to support them. With more than 130,000 members in 2007, MENC is the world’s largest arts education association. Through our programs, partnerships, resources, and the vision of our members, MENC is dedicated to advancing music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all.
In honor of MENC’s Centennial, MENC created the MENC Centennial Campaign to further music education and support music teachers.
For a donation of any amount, donors were listed on the MENC Centennial Campaign Benefactors List. For a $100 or more donation, donors received a commemorative MENC Centennial Celebration lapel pin and the designation “Visionary” on the Benefactors List. For a donation of $250 or more, donors received a brick on MENC’s “Walk of FAME” and a commemorative paperweight.
The Centennial Campaign concluded in December 2008.
